Visiting Professor Carl Lindahl, Folklorist, University of Houston: "The Power of Being Outnumbered. Ethnological Field Methods including Survivor-to-Survivor Storytelling."
An exploration of field methods based on the premise that the narratives scholars record are no better than the relationship obtaining between the scholar and the narrator at the time if the recording. Such methods may succeed best when researchers first engage but then outnumber their subjectivity.
